April 24, 2014

If you're like me, you like when things have a beginning or an introduction. So à la Austin Powers, allow myself to introduce myself. My name is Min. I'm late 20-something year old living in Toronto, Canada. Life was pretty uneventful until a couple months ago, when I handed in my resignation to spend 3 months backpacking solo in Southeast Asia.

If you told me just 5 years ago that I would quit my job to travel, I would have choked on my coffee (aka life serum) in disbelief. Yet here I am. My final day at work after 6 years, is April 30th and I'm flying out in May.

Right now you might have a series of questions floating around in your head...
 - Why is she doing this?
 - What caused the "sudden" decision?
 - Aren't you scared to go alone?

If none of the above crossed your mind, likely you are a fellow wanderlust infected explorer. Let's be friends!

If you wanted to ask one or more of those questions, good! I'll be covering these and more in future posts. This why carry-ons only exists. I want to share my travel experience, stories, tips, and photos with anyone who is interested. (Hi Mom!

You can also find me on various forms of social media (links posted gratuitously all over the site) to be notified of new posts and see real-time updates.

I hope you'll join me on my journey!
Feel free to say hello in the comments below :)
